The English language is from England. It is also the language of the United Stated, Cananda, and other countries. English is about 1,500 years old. That is not old for a language. Greek is about 3,000 years old, and Latin is about 2,500 years old.
People speak English all over the world. About 350 million people speak English as their first language. About 200 million people speak English as a second language. It has become a world language though Chinese is the language with the most speakers.
TEST 30.
Henry likes fishing. He fishes in the river near his house. On Saturday afternoon, he goes down to the river with a little chair and soom sandwiches, and fishes until it is quite dark. There are always a few other people there. They love fishing too, and they all sit there quietly for hours. Sometimes they catch some fish, and sometimes they do not.
Once Henry caught a big fish. He was very happy. All the other fisheman left their place and came to see his fish. One of them had a camera, so he took a photograph of Henry and his big fish. He still has the photograph on the wall of his room.
